I sat there watching my grandma die. Her breathes were shallow yet She fights to live. Does she sense our presence? Does she hold on for us? I encourage her to live but not in this realm. I am willing her to let go. I reassure her that we are all ok. Her work here is done. I tell her to go embrace her son, he is waiting for her on the other side. I tell her to run through the fields in the afterlife, to bathe in the oceans of paradise.
She deserves to fly and soar through her heaven. She is the most remarkable soul always putting her family first, giving unconditional love and acceptance. I hope we will continue to strive to live by her values We have learned so much from her. We want to make her proud.
This world is full of miracles and beauty. I will always see her in every miracle and all that beauty. She will make her presence known. I will lift my face towards the sky as rain magically washes away my tears. I will embrace the breeze as it kisses my skin, and I will stand with strength as the sun hugs me comforting me in my sadness. I will smile at a stranger simply because they may be hurting too. And I will forgive because we are all human. I will live for her and more for me. She taught me that. We all have our own journey. Life is mysterious, magical and beautiful.
